If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in Cumbria we have the experience you require. We work with you to offer a service which gives you exactly what you want.

We have provided professional wedding services since 1999 and offer you a complete and affordable photographic wedding package anywhere in Cumbria (and beyond!).

Example structure and pricing of our popular package;
- Meeting with you before the ceremony do discuss your requirements in detail and gain information about places & times etc.
- Photographs pre-service (bride’s house etc) if required
- Photographs at the service (bride arriving. Inside & outside the venue)
- Photographs at reception location – eg. groups & bridal party
- Photographs at reception location – specific for bride & groom
- Pictures are then viewed by the bride & groom afterwards for any adjustments required
- Album and other options can be discussed further
- All of the pictures are burned to disc so you can produce as many of your own copies as you wish and even email to friends & family

Prices;
Wedding photography; £650
- including all of your pictures on CD.

A wedding album is a unique product so please contact us with your requirements. We have a sample album which we will be delighted to show you upon request.

Further discounts for smaller, more personal weddings. For example; a small registry office service will be subject to discounted pricing.

Photography courses based in Whitehaven, Cumbria

Our courses running in 2010;
- Digital Photography for beginners, currently running, summer dates to be announced
- Digital Photography for the serious amateur, starting 12th April 2010

- Which is best for me?
The Digital Photography for Beginners course is aimed towards those just starting out with their D-SLR or wanting to know more about the flexibility your camera gives you. We cover the relationships between the lens aperture, shutter speed and other camera settings and we test these in a real-world environment and see the difference that these settings make and how you can use them to your advantage. We cover subjects including Panoramics, Landscapes & Low light.
- This is a 5-week course and includes 5 classroom sessions and 5 field trips.
- Starting 22nd February 2010 (runs on Mondays 6-9pm)
- Full price; £60. Concessions of 20%-70% available.

The Digital Photography for Serious Amateurs course is aimed towards those who may know a little about their camera already and we show you some greater possibilities; we go deeper into some more advanced techniques including HDR and Multiplicity with more use of software such as use of layers in Photoshop.
- This is a 7-week course and includes 7 classroom sessions and 5 field trips.
- Starting 12th April 2010 (runs on Mondays 6-9pm)
- Full price; £85. Concessions of 20%-70% available.

More about the courses;
The courses are professionally run and we’re delighted here at Photography NorthWest to be writing and presenting the courses on behalf of the Whitehaven Adult Education Centre.

Both courses are aimed at people with a Digital SLR camera (though we have had people happily complete the beginners course with other cameras). We show you how to make your own decisions and give you the control to take the photograph that you want instead of leaving decisions entirely down to your camera.

If you’d like to learn more about digital photography and meet some friendly faces then the courses will be for you! We have sessions in the comfortable classroom at the Whitehaven School and also put our learned methods into practice by venturing out and shooting as a group. You get plenty of support and helpful tips along the way and individual help can be happily given.

Picture sales

We’re proud to be in partnership with ‘The Tenth Bull‘ in Whitehaven as an exclusive outlet for our pictures!

Gary & Jane were married at Muncaster Castle, what an amazing and historic venue!
The intimate service and dining afterwards was a pleasure to be part of and I thank them very much.

Gaiety Cinema pictures cause a stir

It seems that my pictures which ran in The Whitehaven News have provoked a good reaction!
Page 10 of this weeks’ paper (23rd December 2009) features letters from the public who having seen my pictures are backing up the plea to re-open the cinema, especially in light of the Workington bridge disaster which makes it difficult to get to the local multiplex.

There is even a Facebook group called Re-open the Gaiety Cinema – please join up!
