The Rum Story, Whitehaven
I recently had the pleasure of doing a publicity photoshoot at The Rum Story in Whitehaven, a truly unique and informative attraction. Housed in the original 1785 trading premises of the Jefferson family, this museum takes you on a fascinating journey into the captivating history of rum, from its origins in the Caribbean and ties to the transatlantic slave trade, reflecting Whitehaven’s significant historical role. The exhibition thoughtfully explores this often difficult past, alongside tales of pirates, smugglers, and the journey of rum through the ages.
Here are some photos from that shoot.
Polished Property Photos: It’s All in the Edit
I just wrapped up a recent property photography assignment. Capturing great shots on location is step one, but the work continues in the editing. I spent a lot of time removing ugly distractions – including a shopping card. All this can detract from the overall appeal and it is attention to detail that helps deliver what the client needs.
If you need high-quality, meticulously edited photos for your property listing, get in touch!
Here are just a couple of the exterior.
Break a leg, Andy!
Thrilled to have worked with Andy on his headshots! He’s pursuing auditions across the country. A strong headshot is key when casting directors haven’t met you, so I made sure these did the job without being overbearing by using a neutral backdrop with even lighting.
I wish Andy all the best as he sends these out nationwide!
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie!
I took the photos for Whitehaven Theatre Group’s production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie! These shoots are always fun and it certainly didn’t disappoint! They’re brilliant to work with.
Here are a couple of shots.
WAOS production of Annie!
Workington Amateur Operatic Society performed the musical, Annie, at the Carnegie Theatre. It was a fantastic production and very well reviewed. I had the pleasure of taking their publicity photos, here are just a few of Annie.
